Jeff Ruhe

Hi, I’m Jeff, the managing owner of Lucas Benjamin Photography. I’m a lifelong Chicagoan and a graduate of DePaul University. My wife, Heidi, and I have been married for over twenty-five years, and we live in Tinley Park with our two sons. Beyond photography, I’m a Chicago sports fanatic, music enthusiast, and an avid golfer.

Lisa

My name is Lisa. I have had a DSLR camera since I was seven and haven't stopped photographing with one since. I am married to my wonderful husband for over twenty years and we have a daughter starting college in the fall. We have two black labs and lots of fish. When I am not taking pictures, I can usually be found fishing in Wisconsin or working on t-shirt quilts.

My name is Stewart, I was born in Iowa and moved here to attend Columbia College where I am currently a student in Film and Media Studies. When I’m not out photographing the city, you can find me tinkering with computer projects, writing screenplays, or cooking. I bring my passion for creation to anything I do and have learned so much along the way.

Hi, I’m Caroline! I’m originally from Ohio and now live in Yorkville, Illinois. I earned my Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in drawing and photography, and I love bringing creativity to every job. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me watching a new TV show, reading, spending time outdoors, or at the gym. I’m excited to be part of the Lucas Benjamin Photography team!

Mary Lou

Hi, I’m Mary Lou. I believe life is a continual learning experience, and I enjoy learning from the people I meet—especially children, who teach us so much. I love exploring new places, walking to take in the sights, and capturing meaningful memories through photography. At home, I enjoy nature walks, cooking, baking, and gardening. I strive to live positively and bring that mindset into everything I do.

Hi, I’m Pierce. I was born in Tampa, Florida, and moved to Chicago to attend Chicago State University, where I graduated in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts. I’m a former member of the men’s basketball team and worked as a photographer and videographer for Chicago State Athletics. I’m a person of faith, and that joy and positivity carry into everything I do, with a focus on creating quality work.

Hi, I’m Lane! I’m originally from Iowa and currently studying biological and ecological sciences with a focus on conservation through Arizona State University’s online program. Alongside my science studies, I’m a full-time multimedia artist who enjoys creating work that connects people through storytelling. As a former four-sport athlete, I love capturing the moments that matter most to athletes and their families.

Maggie

Hi, I’m Maggie! I was born and raised in Lyons, Illinois, and I’m currently starting my freshman year at the College of DuPage, where I’m studying music education. I’ve been playing and producing music since I was 10 years old. I also played softball for 12 years and bowled for three. When I’m not working or studying, I’m spending time with my two dogs, Shadow and Lucy.
